Hampton opened the Digital Artificial Intelligence Immersive Experience, D-AIX, on August 18, 2026, the first physical space in a broader, university-wide AI ecosystem strategy led by President Darrell K. Williams. It is paired with two initiatives still ahead: the Hampton Artificial Intelligence and Technology Center, planned for the Student Center, and a regional AI and Advanced Technologies Center of Excellence (its own entry below).
